Here I share a small sampling of my writing. I write in several different styles; I share poetry and short fiction.There is much more of course...beyond these, I have written extensively for business purposes, from press releases to grant applications and more.

But here you will only find my creative work...

Poetry

Here are a few poems; my work, while observational, also is based in the natural world, often written in response to the landscape surrounding me.

Short Fiction

I attach one short story. I have a series of stories that are reinterpretations of the Grimm Brothers Fairy Tales, some set traditionally, and others in today's world. Yet all of my characters have agency; control; and deep strength, absent in Grimm's telling, but better suited to today's children and women overall. Here is "Snow Iris White."

Theatrical Work

I have written several plays; one was presented twice at New York City's TRIAD Theatre. This is a monolog from that piece.

Children's Book

I have a children's book under revision. It features a young elven girl named Little Io, and tells her story as she works with Santa's reindeer, growing until she become the Head Reindeer Handler. Here is a snippet from that story.
